When Youth Therapy Gets Stuck: Trauma, Anxiety, and Emotional Dysregulation in Children
What's Included In The Somatic Interventions Clinical Summit:
Somatic Interventions Clinical Summit: Body-Based Healing for Trauma Clients When Talk Therapy Has Failed
MODULE 1
How trauma actually shows up in the body, the early dysregulation cues that surface in session before your client knows they're shutting down.
MODULE 2
Why your client's nervous system gets stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn & the framework that tells you exactly which state they're in.
MODULE 3
The four core body-based interventions that complete a trapped survival response are usable in the next session, not after another two-year certification track.
MODULE 4
How to read your own somatic signals as clinical data, the co-regulation skill that lets your nervous system steady your clients before words do.
MODULE 5
How to add body-based interventions to the modality you already practice without retraumatizing clients by processing trauma outside their window of presence.
MODULE 6
How to build treatment plans matched to your client's nervous system state so the trauma client stuck for 18 months actually moves toward regulation.

Stacy Ruse, LPC, is the clinician most therapists were never given the framework for: the work that begins where talk therapy stops. Across 9,000+ clinical hours, she watched the same pattern repeat — trauma clients who could articulate their wound, name their attachment style and explain their triggers, and whose nervous systems had not changed at all. She built her training practice around the gap that pattern revealed.
What Stacy brings to the Somatic Interventions Clinical Summit is the integrative lens she has built from sitting on every side of this work. She is Somatic Experiencing-trained, an IFS Approved Clinical Consultant, EMDR-certified & Polyvagal-informed Yoga for Trauma certified — and she has spent 20+ years translating that integration into language clinicians can use in their next session. What she covers on June 2nd is the verbatim regulation language for the in-session freeze moment & the body-based sequencing that reaches the trauma clients your existing modality cannot — without asking you to abandon the modality you already practice.

The 18-month stuck trauma client walks out with a regulated nervous system.
You read the freeze response in 10 seconds and know what to say.
Treatment plans match the nervous system state, not just the trauma narrative.
IFS, EMDR & CBT gain the body-based layer they were missing.
The 18-month stuck trauma client stays stuck because insight never reaches the body.
You watch the freeze response happen with no language for a dorsal vagal state.
Treatment plans keep chasing the trauma narrative while the nervous system stays unregulated.
The modality you practice keeps hitting the ceiling. Somatic work was built to extend beyond.

Yes — this Clinical Summit is built for trauma clinicians whose training stopped at talk-based protocols and whose caseloads contain clients that those protocols can't reach.
Stacy teaches verbatim regulation language, somatic recognition signals & a body-based intervention sequence designed to be applied in your next session not stored for later.
No, Stacy is IFS-Approved, EMDR-certified & Somatic Experiencing-trained, and her framework adds the body-based layer to the modality you already practice without asking you to abandon it.
Up to 9 CEs total — 6 from the Clinical Summit + 3 from the bonus ethics course — available for purchase after you register.

Scope and Limitations Disclosure:
This training provides licensed mental health professionals with a contemporary clinical framework for recognizing somatic dysregulation and integrating body-based interventions when working with trauma clients whose nervous systems have not responded to talk-based protocols — including the role of Polyvagal Theory and the three-brain model in nervous system regulation, somatic recognition signals for freeze, dissociation and dorsal vagal shutdown, pendulation, titration and grounding sequences for in-session use, integration of somatic interventions into IFS, EMDR, CBT and mindfulness-based modalities, prevention of re-traumatization through window of presence tracking, and individualized somatic treatment planning. Content should be applied within the scope of each clinician's license and professional training. This training does not offer certification and is not a substitute for clinical supervision, diagnostic evaluation, or specialized treatment by a clinician credentialed in Somatic Experiencing or related body-based modalities. Participants are encouraged to apply content within their individual scope of practice and in accordance with applicable professional and ethical guidelines.
