Mindfulness for Dysregulated Clients Masterclass: Interventions for Triggered, Reactive, and Overwhelmed Clients
MODULE 1
When a client goes somewhere mid-session, this is exactly what is happening in her body and why no amount of talking can reach her until you address it at this level first.
MODULE 2
Learn the specific difference between recommending mindfulness and using it as a live in-session intervention the moment a client's nervous system moves into protection.
MODULE 3
A step-by-step protocol for helping clients access the Observer Self, the part beneath every reactive pattern, where genuine regulation and lasting change become possible.
MODULE 4
Insight lives in the prefrontal cortex. Reactivity lives in the body. This module shows you how to work directly with the part of the nervous system that insight has never been able to touch.
MODULE 5
Specific, sequenced mindfulness interventions for the client who is already dysregulated before the session even begins, when standard coping skills have nothing to land on.
MODULE 6
Learn how to guide a client through deep internal work without losing the session, managing silence clinically, and knowing exactly when to speak and when to stay out of the way.

Dr. Shannon South did not start with a framework. She started with a client she could not reach. After more than 20 years working with clients carrying anxiety, trauma, and deeply entrenched reactive patterns, she kept arriving at the same ceiling: clients who understood their wounds completely and still could not stop their nervous systems from reacting. That gap drove her to develop the Inner Counselor Process, a trauma-informed mindfulness framework built around guiding clients into the part of themselves that was never wounded, the Observer Self that exists underneath every reactive pattern and every survival response.
Her clinical foundation is personal. In 1994, she moved permanently out of debilitating anxiety, panic attacks, and depression through meditation. That experience did not become a story she tells. It became what she teaches from. She has since trained clinicians across the country, and those who have worked with her consistently describe the same thing: complex material taught with clarity, warmth, and interventions they could use the following Monday. What she brings to April 28th is not an introduction to mindfulness. It is the specific clinical framework for the moment a client's nervous system takes over and every insight-based tool you have stops working.

You know exactly which mindfulness intervention belongs the moment a client's nervous system goes into protection
The client who goes unreachable mid-session finally has a pathway back
You stop managing the surface reaction and start reaching the nervous system generating it
Clients with years of insight who still react finally have a tool that reaches where insight never could
You leave every session knowing something at the nervous system level actually moved
You watch a client go unreachable mid-session and fall back on grounding techniques that do not reach her
Your client understands every pattern she has and still reacts the same way every single week
You recommend mindfulness but cannot guide a dysregulated client through it live when she needs it most
Sessions that should move the wound stay technically fine and clinically stuck
Your most dysregulated clients stay exactly where they are because nothing you have was built to reach this level

Recommending mindfulness and using it as a live clinical intervention are two different skill sets. This Masterclass teaches the specific in-session protocols for the moment a client dysregulates, which most mindfulness trainings never cover.
Yes. The nervous system dysregulation, emotional reactivity, and survival patterns Dr. South addresses are present across every adult population. The frameworks apply directly to any client who triggers, shuts down, or goes unreachable mid-session.
Dr. South teaches step-by-step in-session protocols, not theory. Every intervention is built for the live clinical moment, not for after the session ends.
This Masterclass is not an introduction to mindfulness. It is a clinical application framework for dysregulation specifically. If you have mindfulness training but no protocol for using it when a client's nervous system takes over, this fills that gap directly.
The entire Masterclass is built around the clients insight-based tools cannot reach. If your most dysregulated clients are staying stuck despite solid therapeutic work, this training addresses exactly that ceiling.
Recording access is available with the CE upgrade so you never miss a section. You can watch what you missed, rewatch what you need, and return to specific protocols whenever a case calls for it.
